Radiocephalic Fistula Recovery Using the Forearm Basilic Vein: A Case Report

Dysfunction of the arteriovenous fistula for hemodialysis is a challenge nephrologist and vascular surgeon. Although experience limited, use forearm basilic vein as outflow radiocephalic has been considered. We report case 60-year-old male, with cardiovascular comorbidities history ischemic complications induced by access. Drainage problems were present in was used access repair. The procedure successful, patient maintains functional fistula, secondary patency 32 months, no cardiac or hand access-induced distal ischaemia syndrome.
